Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer

I love documenting real emotion, artistic portraits and fun moments. My style is fresh, yet classic. I am located in Santa Barbara, CA but available worldwide.
Here are some pictures my husband and I took of the Jesusita Fire.  We live in the apartment complex at the bottom of the frame in most of the pictures.  It was a crazy night last night…we got evacuated soon after we took the pictures, and we were definitely scrambling to make sure we saved everything.  It was nerve racking because after we left, we kept remembering things we forgot.  We went to my husband’s place of work, then ate downtown, and realized that there would be no hotels available.  So, we slept on the couches at his work…not the most comfortable considering we didn’t even take our pillows or blankets.
Today, the roads were still blocked and we were still supposed to be evacuated, but we snuck in to our apartment anyway and took a nap and shower.  It was nice to see that our apartment complex is still intact even though it is covered with ashes.  We are feeling a little bit better now, but our chests are a little sore.  We’re just trying to stay away from all the smoke and ash!We are praying for the firefighters and all of the evacuees.  I have to say, everybody seems to come together in a time like this.  We have had many offers for a place to shower, and we are so thankful for our friends.  Stay safe out there!
