Happy 90th, Hello Snow, and Goodbye High School Swimming Pool
Recently, I went back to my home state of Indiana, to celebrate my Grandmother’s 90th birthday. If you can’t tell, she loves blue! I’m so glad I got to be with her on such an important birthday. She was in a car accident, and her recovery has been difficult…I think she looks simply marvelous, especially knowing everything she has been through the last couple of years. I was a proud granddaughter, looking at all of her 48 birthday cards. Wonder if I’ll ever get that many birthday cards?!
While in Indiana, the weather went from snowstorm to thunderstorm…I forgot how crazy the weather is there!
Lastly, I was able to do some of the “everyday activities” with my nephews. Accompanied them to swim practice a few times, and had to document the pool area, because they will be tearing it down soon. The Plymouth High School had their last swim meet in the high school pool while I was there. I grew up swimming in that pool, so it is a little sad for me.
If anyone is interested in helping Plymouth, IN fund a new indoor pool, please contact me, and I’ll put you in touch with someone!
