A Bride Passes on Some Good Advice
So… I wasn’t going to say anything but I think its official now. Kevin and I are doing a bridal shoot. Although we got some incredible pictures the day of I was not attentive enough to the details because I was pretty much high off of love and happiness and I feel like certain pictures that I really wanted didn’t happen. But according to this, this is not really unusual:
“I wish more gals in CA would do bridal shoots. I kind of think of them like a day after shoot. I know all MY grooms really love the day after shoots!” via Leigh Miller Photography (got the link from Jaclyn)
I really recommend it to everyone. I wish someone would have told us because we actually could have taken ours before (Kevin didn’t care about seeing my dress). I didn’t want to be the kind of bride that only cares about the pictures and decor and what not on the day of; I just wanted to enjoy my husband and our special day. However, when you’re in that state of mind you are not thinking about “Did I re-apply my lipstick?” “Should I move my veil?” “My dress doesn’t look right this way” “I should put my arms here…” and so on and so forth.
Taking a day before or after the wedding when you can be completely focused on taking the most amazing pictures will bode much better than when you are jittery and smiling like an idiot because you just married the love of your life!!
